Description: THE GUTENBERG BIBLE 1455 is a handcrafted, hardbound miniature reproduction in 1/12th scale of a Gutenberg Bible printed in approximately 1455. It contains selected pages of Genesis in 52 pages. The volume measures 1 ¼ inch high by 1 inch wide by 3/16 inches thick. The pages are printed on both sides of single sheets. The book is made using traditional bookbinding techniques and other techniques I have developed for miniature books. THIS IS NOT A CONCERTINA BOUND BOOK. Each page is individually hand cut. I personally make each book. My miniature books are not intended for children and are not toys. THE QUARTER IN THE PHOTO MEASURES .955 INCHES OR 24.26 MM. THE PICTURE IS LARGE TO ENABLE CLOSE VIEWING OF THE BOOK DETAILS.
