Description: This covered vegetable serving dish made of pottery by Ridgeway, Morley and Wear Company (RMW & Co). The pattern is Japan Flowers in blue and white. Made from 1840-1845 with a backstamp (see pictures). Measurements Length 12 inchesWidth 9 1/4 inchesHeight 4 1/2 inches This item has been heavily used. Crazing is present on the inside base of the serving dish as well as the underside. There is a crack on the underside of the lid. It is easily felt on the underside but not as well on top side. There is a discoloration to the rim of the lid as well as the interior of the serving bowl area and the bottom of the pedestal of the serving dish. Considering the age of the serving dish and its heavy use it has held up well. All of the crazing and wear can easily be seen in the pictures.
