Description: I have for sale a 1948 medal that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Northwest Paper company. This medal is listed in the So Called Dollar catalog as HK741. The medal is bronze, it is 1 1/2 inches in diameter and encapsulated in an NGC holder and graded MS64 by them. The medal was designed by Rene Chambellan and struck by the Medallic Art company. The obverse at the rim reads THE NORTHWEST PAPER COMPANY - 1898 MANUFACTURERS 1948. In the center it shows a forest ranger with mountains and forest in the background. Below the ranger there are two conjoined round seals, one is a compass and the other reads WEYERHAEUSER FOREST PRODUCTS. The reverse at the rim reads NORTHWEST PEDIGREED PAPERS - ALWAYS MAKE GOOD PRINTING BETTER. In the center it has a ribbon with the number 50 behind.
