Description: Anthony Carter was one of the first high-profile college stars to sign with the fledgling United States Football League after a stellar career at the University of Michigan. He caught 60 passes for 1,187 yards and 9 touchdowns in 1983 and went on to become the first MVP of the USFL championship Game for the champion Panthers. Carter departed for the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings in 1985 and caught 486 passes while scoring 55 touchdowns over ten years in the established league. He was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 2002. USFL game wear is rare, even more so from the league’s first superstar.
