Beginning production in Brooklyn in 1979, Steinberger’s futuristic, minimalist design was adopted by many players who all appreciated the lightweight instrument, not only for it’s high portability, but also for it’s resistance to changes in temperature and humidity. This model also features an XLR output for use as a DI. This feature combined with the ultra compact size makes for a highly gig-able instrument that with the addition of a modeling pedal and a decent PA at the club, you can even leave your amp at home. It’s the perfect setup for going bar-hopping after your set.This Licensed by Steinberger Hohner B2A checks many of the boxes of the Steinberger Bass, but at the same time, packages it all up in an instrument you won’t feel bad about bringing out and using! This bad boy functions as well as the original model at a much more attainable level.It’s in great condition with only some scratching on the back of the body and light playwear on the front. There’s no major dings or dents to affect playability or feel. The back of the neck is free from wear, and the active preamp functions flawlessly.This bass has been professionally setup with fresh strings set to play low and fast. The board has been conditioned, and the electronics have been cleaned. This instrument is gig and studio ready. The original gigbag is included for easy transportation and storage.
