Description: PHILLIPS MILK OF MAGNESIA 3 bottles x 340ml/11.5oz Desription:As an antacid to neutralize gastric secretion. It is preferred in people with constipation. As a laxative for mild constipation.Ingredients:Magnesium Hydroxide 425mg/5ml, Water, Calcium HypochloriteUse:As an antacid the usual 5-15ml, 1-2 hours after the main meals and at night before bed. Children older than 3 years: 1/4 - 1/2 of the adult dose. As a laxative the dose is individualized. The usual dose for adults is 2-4g or 20-45ml per 24 hours. Children under 3 years should be administered only under the supervision of a doctor. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not use as a laxative for more than 3 consecutive days and as an antacid for more than 14 consecutive days. Precautions:Contraindications: Do not take by patients with a history of hypersensitivity to magnesium hydroxide or to any of the ingredients. Abdominal pain and vomiting of unexplained etiology. Special precautions and warnings for use: Take with plenty of water. If you have kidney failure, are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using it. If diarrhea occurs, discontinue use immediately. If you experience persistent abdominal pain and the symptoms persist or worsen, seek the advice of your doctor. You may need to take the extra medication 2-3 hours before or after. Overdose: Overdose may cause gastrointestinal irritation, watery diarrhea and hypermagnesaemia Side effects: Diarrhea. Magnesium accumulation capable of causing toxicity may be observed in patients with hepatic impairment. It can rarely cause the formation of manure from magnesium carbonate in overdose.
