Description: This is a Cleveland 3/4" scale balsa wood flying model of a Focke-Wulf FW-190 fighter from World War II. This is kit SF-82 from the Cleveland Master series and has a wingspan of 27 5/8 inches. The box has been opened, but the kit contains all parts, plans, and decals necessary to complete the model. Cleveland was truly the preeminent manufacturer in the heyday of balsa wood flying models, and the kit even contains bottles of glue and paint, but they are unfortunately completely dried up. I am including them as artifacts, not useful material. If you don't want them let me know and you might save a buck or two on shipping. What will be included for sure are some 1940's promotional sheets which could also be regarded as artifacts. This kit is from the 1940's and is definitely old-school. You have to cut out the parts yourself, although the cowl and the wheels are preformed. The canopy is NOT preforrmed -- you just get a sheet of clear plastic. There are two sets of decals: One set looks like the minimal, weight-saving glossy paper that are glued or clear-doped on the tissue; the second set is a traditional "slip & slide" set with a more modern, higher quality. The better quality sheet is from the Comet Super Stars Bf-109E, kit #1625.A three-bladed prop is not provided, but the plans have instructions on how to make one. Curiously, both this kit and its companion Jap Zero kit contain "paddle-bladed" plastic parts for a two-bladed propeller.
