Description: Complete beautiful Columbia River Gempoint. Agate multicolored and very fine workmanship a true Columbia Gempoint. I see a lot of points called Columbia River for sale here on ebay. I have been around these artifacts for 80 years and can't understand just how anyone who has hunted the river can give away points like I see going on. Be very careful if you want real artifacts is all I can say. All of my artifacts are personal finds, and I will send along a note with info as to where and when I found each item. Our Columbia River has been closed and most beaches covered by dams that to find any of these today would be next to impossible. We hunted back before the dams and before anyone cared about all of the artifacts getting destroyed by the waves washing out the banks. I can just not see how you could ever find a point now days along the river. It is closed and it's illegal to hunt anywhere but private property and very little of that left.
