Description: Charming and unique, antique 1920s painted baby doll, children’s hat stands. Their hand painted faces are really expressive and detailed. They each measure 11” inches tall. Their bases measure 4” 3/8 by 4” 3/8 inches. The makers mark is there but it’s very hard to make out. On the bottom base. I can see the word Poppy but I can’t make out the other word. There’s also a stamp in black In Pierrot flapper doll, that was common during the 1920s flapper era. It’s stamped ‘Alameda California’ on the bottom of the stamp. There was a California Poppy doll brand but I can’t guarantee it’s the same one, definitely of the same time frame. One of them has a crack near bottom of the pole on the base as shown in the photos. There’s also some paint chips on the left side of one of the babies faces. There’s also some aging stains on the stands from being over 100 years old. Also on the bottom of the doll stand without the makers marks, there’s a chip on the bottom base. Also there’s paint loss and wood nicks on the bases and sides as well. The baby hat stand on the left has some paint loss on the back of its head, as well as on the top left of her face. The doll on the right has a stain on the top right of her face too.
