Description: A rare and beautiful white glass hand-beaded purse of the kind so fashionable in the late 1940s. The bag is signed 'Anthony', I think it is a french made bag. This lovely evening/satchel bag has the added whimsical accent of two 1 1/4" strips of gathered/pleated bead trimming around the body of the purse. The handle is also completely hand beaded. All beads are intact, none seem to be loose, exterior is in pristine condition no discoloration. Top closure is a gold metal zipper (thread is unraveled on about an inch of the inside zip section-please see pic.) with a teardrop beaded fob. The interior is an ivory color taffeta fabric and has two slit pockets with gold core trim. The interior shows very slight wear, very slight make-up stains.
