Description: Antique American 19th C. Folk Art Oil Painting Child With Dog, Signed! For sale we have an original antique oil painting signed E. A. Howell. This delightful painting depicts a child in her nightgown and cap hugging a furry black dog, while sitting on a reeded-seat chair. It is oil on canvas, backed but not attached to a cardboard. It is in good condition with two minor creases in the oval background area, one to the left of the child's head and the other off of her shoulder. Please see the photos for details and condition, as these are part of the description. (Please excuse the glare on some of the photos.) The painting is under glass in a Victorian deep walnut frame.
