Description: This is a rare collection of three antique Harper's New Monthly Magazines from the years 1873 and 1874. 150 years old. These early pulp format magazines, published by Harper & Brothers, contain historical articles and stories that provide a glimpse into the late 19th century past. The lot includes the March 1873, May 1874, and November 1874 issues, all in acceptable condition. These magazines are a great addition to any collection of rare books and antiques, with interesting articles and amazing artwork. The front of the March 1873 issue is loose and the back cover is missing. See pictures. One half of page number 780 of the May 1974 is missing. The front cover is missing on the November 1874 issue. Many of the pages are torn or worn, and have spots on them. All three magazines have a musty smell to them. Despite the numerous flaws, these are a great snapshot of life in the late 1800s. Please see all photos.
