Description: Very old piece of Americana as indicated by the wearing found on the top underside (old chipping) of the lid. Most cannot be seen when viewed from the top, however please see pictures which show the overall condition of this piece. Definitely a piece that was lovingly used in the past as either a humidor or some sort of storage vessel. Absolutely love the facial expression on this little boy. His joyful yet mischievious look adds to the whimsy of this piece. Definitely not a reproduction as indicated by the paint as well as the wear to the bottom and the coloration of the chips to the underside of the lid. Also see imprint on bottom as well as number painted on the bottom. This would be a delightful addition to any collector of Tobacciana, Americana or Blackmoor collectibles. Simply a delightful piece of history. CONDITION DISCLOSURE: There are some very old chips to the underside of the top of this piece, please see pictures. Would rate this at good antique condition considering its age. There looks to be a repair to the neck as the paint looks as if it was cold painted over in the neck area. Very hard to tell other than the application of the paint.
