Description: If shipping seems high please contact me. eBay sometimes over quotes. I insure pieces at my expense. I'm known for SAFE SHIPPING. Beautiful carved and hand turned 1 pound butter mold in an elaborate PA Dutch geometric design. Made from PA Sugar Maple, this butter mold has a gorgeous, worn patina that really brings the wood grain out. This lovely finish can only be achieved through honest, authentic use and time. Measures 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" A vast array of easy to do uses. A must at any holiday table. You also use just the stamp on smaller slices of butter next to each place setting. The stamped end is also fun to use for cookies, impressed into French toast, cheese sandwiches, ice cream, etc. Growing up on a pre-Civil War farm here in Virginia I learned many ways to use butter molds. To easily use over and over, just place a small piece of plastic wrap between the mold and whatever you're stamping. One of my mother's favorites was ice cream molds that she'd scoop out the bottom and fill with fresh fruits or warm jams just before serving. It's an impressive looking dessert. Shipping carrier rates changed drastically depending on your location. If you're west of the Mississippi UPS is your best bet. I CAN FIND REASONABLE SHIPPING! Please contact me if shipping seems high.
