Description: Large Antique Victorian Crystoleum Picture Soldier Child 1860s A rare large antique Victorian Crystoleum print hand painted and under glass picture. Dates back to the 1860s era. Looks like the boy child is wearing a navy blue solider outfit in full regalia. There are some issues with the print on the edges which indicates its age. Also, as always the pierced metal corners do have some breaks. Hence selling as is. The definition of crystoleum is an obsolete process in which a photograph was transferred to glass, the paper backing removed, and the image layer colored by the application of colors to the back. Still in nice condition after all these years. It is one of the larger crystoleum pictures we have seen. Overall it is 25 inches tall by 14.50 inches wide.
