Description: Mora Clock movement, probably from about 1750-1820. Movement was made in Sweden (handmade, probably by a farmer during the winter time). Google "Mora Clocks" for more information. This one has all metal gears gears and plates. Top bell is Mora/swedish, but not origional to this movement. Should work fine imho. Hour wheel on the front is missing. This may be hard to replace & may require a custom made part by a skilled clockmaker. Will also require hands. Wood for the dial has several cracks (see photos) and decorative castings are loose. Dial has other damage/cracking on the front. Look at photos closely. This piece could be used as-is for decorative purposes or is a candidate for restoration. This movement will require a fully cleaning and likely additional work to get it working again. Likely that some bushings will need replaced or other work. Note that it is missing the case, weights, and pendilum. I obtained this from Sweden. It is real/historic.
