Description: Antique Victorian 14k Gold Mourning Ring with Braided Hair Engraved "TWH" 585. Here we have a special antique Victorian era (ca. 1865-1880) 14k yellow gold mourning ring inlaid with braids of human hair. The ring features an oval plaque on the front with the initials "TWH". The ring is a simple band with mil-grain ridged edges, channeling the braided hair inside the band so it is protected. The interior is not marked nor engraved with any additional information. Overall, the ring is in good antique condition with no major issues or flaws to note. The hair is in good shape and shows minor wear at the base where your finger would rest against a surface, however, it is not very noticeable as it is on the underside of the ring. The Engraving on the oval plaque is faint and worn, but is still present and hauntingly elegant. Due to the nature of this ring, it cannot be sized or altered.
