Description: Up for auction, two vintage Chinese silk embroidery textile panels, found at an estate sale in California's Motherlode. The larger one is a blue-purple (or purple-blue) silk with flowers and a tiny butterfly, embroidered with silk floss, and edged with a ribbon trim. It measures 23.5" by 11". The smaller, black textile panel is 21" by 7" with a pretty floral motif and bright silk embroidery thread. Both have a nice linen backing. I'm unsure the date, but both are in good condition, with modest wear to the embroidery thread and a tiny pen tip-sized hole in the larger one. Lovely to use as is - or create something special with these textiles.
