Description: Super nice early 1900s industrial Rope or Fabric Spools. These are massive no other ones like them for sale. They are solid wood screws and it appears a steel rod build into them down the center... my guess is early 1900s or late 1800s. I have 2 each will be listed seperatly. One is a dark wood the other is a blonde color wood but the construction is similiar and size is the same.. they are both made from layers of wood lamimated together at least 4 different layers.... The wheel side is 8 inches round / across & the dowel in the middle itself is only 4 inches with a total.length includong the side dowels of just over 5 inches... They are neat but i know nothing about them or there use i would assume a thick fabric or rope was on them original probably in a manufacturing capacity... Ask questions i dont know anything about these... they seem rare they are the only ones of this size i can find on ebay.... This is lot #2 for the blonde color example, condition is great but it does have a few small stains and some minor delamination on the one side of the wheel seen in photos Steampunk, sewing, fabric, industrial, warehouse, nautical, rope, boat, farmhouse etc
