Description: Please meet Tilly Stamped K R Simon & Halbig 117 76Measures approximately 26 inches tallI originally purchased this girl as a genuine K&R / Simon Halbig 117 but have since been informed that she is actually a reproduction bisque head on an antique body. Believed to be a French wooden and composition body.Tilly has a beautiful painted bisque head in clean condition with no damage or hairline Cracks. She has fixed blue eyes with a closed mouth. Tilly is wearing a modern wig which you may like to replace, She has a cardboard pate glued down which seems too large for her head. I have tried to remove this but it is glued down very well and I do not want to damage her( as i am no expert) She has painted red brows with painted lashes and lips.Tilly has a jointed body which looks like it has been restored and repainted at some point. Her left elbow does not bend due to paint sticking I believe , This may need attention. Some fingers look like they have been repaired too. Showing age related wear and marks in places. Nicely strung. Believed to be an antique French wooden / compostion body.She comes with a modern blue dress and underwear.Hopefully Tilly is a nice project for someone to bring her back to her former original self and dress in appropriate clothing for her era.Please study all the photos NO RESERVE I do my best to describe the items clearly and honestly as possible, including any faults that I may see, other than general wear that you would expect from used items.
