JHS Pedals is an effector brand established by Mr. Josh Scott, which started with the repair of the BD-2. Both companies regularly connected at the NAMM Show, an annual global musical instrument exhibition, and shared ideas for collaboration multiple times. On the 40th anniversary of the BOSS Compact Effector in 2017, they decided to co-develop a new pedal. Synergistic Effects through Collaboration Various ideas were discussed between BOSS and JHS Pedals regarding the two pedals to be combined. Furthermore, using the BOSS ES-8 Effects Switching System, they meticulously experimented with various pedal connections, changing the connection order to observe the sound and response. Through sharing each other's perspectives and passions, and after much trial and error, they ultimately decided on the combination of the Angry Charlie and BD-2. Thanks to the wide range of expressiveness of the BD-2, it's an ideal combination where the Angry Charlie, which has a sound not found in BOSS, can be accentuated with a subtle character change.
