Description: Buddleja Davidii, also known as Butterfly Bush, is a perennial upright shrub native to China and Japan. The "Buzz" cultivar was developed in England by Thompson and Morgan as a compact, non-invasive variety. Davidii Buzz is sterile and reaches 3-5' tall by 2-3' wide, making it the perfect patio shrub. Though the bush takes up less space than the typical Buddleja, the flowers are still 6-8" long, fragrant, and in bloom from June-September. This plant attracts bees and butterflies and will tolerate any well-drained soil. In ideal conditions, planted in the ground, these perennials will live up to 10 years. Container shrubs may require transplanting after a few years. Buzz is low-maintenance and hardy in zones 5-9. *** Each plant come in a 3 1/4" or 4" pot. *** Growing Tips:1. Whether in a large container or the ground, plant Buddleja Davidii Buzz in well-drained soil in full sun. While this shrub can withstand average soil and some drought, it does not succeed in overly wet conditions. 2. Deadhead blooms promptly for a tidy appearance and to encourage continuous blooming until first frost. 3. Cut back to 12-24" after last frost or in early spring (or, in colder climates, it will die back on its own). Fertilize once a year in spring. ***Please understand that these are living plants.
