Description: You will receive 5 yellow Canna lilies. They are live bare root plants and will grow over 6 feet tall. Canna Lily are a sun-loving tropical or subtropical herbaceous perennial hardy in zones 7 and up, annual in zones 6 on down. They’ll grow up to 6 plus feet tall in one season. In zones below 7 prior to a frost you will want to cut the plants back to the ground then dig the rhizomes, also called (underground stems). Place the rhizomes in a bucket or tote and place soil on top of them. Put them in a cool room where they will not freeze. In the spring after all danger of frost has passed: Space rhizomes 1-1/2 to 2 feet apart to give cannas enough room. Containers need to be at least 18 inches in diameter (per rhizome). Before planting, loosen the soil to a depth of 1 foot, then mix in 2 to 4 inches of compost.Dig a hole 2 inches deep and set the rhizome 2 inches below the soil with the “eyes” (bumps or nodes, which are growth sprouts) pointed up.
