Description: Palace Of The Peak District Derbyshire 1961 Vintage Print A print from a disbound book about The Peak District dated 1961, the reverse side has an unrelated unrelated picture. Caption beneath the picture - 'THE PALACE OF THE PEAK'. This name has been given to Chatsworth, seat of the Dukes of Devonshire, seen here beyond the bridge spanning the river Derwent. It was begun in 1550, but most of it dates from the eighteenth century. Suitable for framing, the average picture size is approx 8" x 9.75" or 20cm x 25cm, actual page size inc border and text approx 8.25" x 11". This is a vintage print, printed on semi-gloss heavy magazine style paper not a modern copy and does show signs of age or previous use commensurate with the age of the print with possible light creases, marks or foxing. The date given of 1961 is the printing date, the actual date of creation can be earlier. All pictures will be sent bagged and in a board backed envelope for protection in transit.
