Cloth has wear and some discoloration due to age. Pages facing the illustrations have a pattern of foxing due to the contact of the paper with the chemicals used to print the chromolitographs. Pages are generally very clean, with scattered wear, no marks or annotations. The binding is completely sound. It was recently repaired by a professional bookbinder, with the original boards preserved. New endpapers inserted as part of the hinge repairs. With a total of 24 illustrated plates, 12 of which are beautiful color chromolithographs depicting various historical coins.
