Description: THIS IS AN ORIGINAL, SIGNED, HAND WRITTEN LETTER BY CONNIE MACK DATED 8/25/1947. CONNIE HAD STAYED AT THE HOTEL BOOK CADILLAC IN DETROIT DURING THE THREE GAME RUN WITH THE DETROIT TIGERS. THE LETTER CONFIRMS THE HISTORIC FIRST TWO LOSSES TO THE DETROIT TIGERS BUT THE A'S WOULD FINISH OFF THAT DAYS GAME FOR A 7-5 VICTORY BEFORE HEADING TO CLEVELAND. THIS IS A TRUE PIECE OF RARE HISTORY THAT FEATURES THE LEGEND CONNIE MACK'S ACTUAL WRITING AND NOT A TYPED LETTER. THE HOTEL STATIONARY IS ACCURATE TO THE TIME AND HIS SIGNATURE MATCHES HIS LATER YEARS SIGNATURES. THERE IS "GHOST WRITING" TOWARDS THE BOTTOM OF THE LETTER WHERE CONNIE WROTE ON TOP OF THE LETTER BEFORE THIS LETTER, OR IT WAS AN ERASED NARRATIVE. IT APPEARS TO BE A SIMILAR STYLE TO CONNIE'S AS THE WORD "DAY" IS SEEN IN THE WRITING THAT MATCHES CONNIE'S. YOU CAN SEE THIS FAINT WRITING IN THE PHOTO OF CONNIE'S SIGNATURE. THIS WAS RECEIVED FROM A BASEBALL FANS FATHER WHO HAS SINCE PASSED AWAY. IT IS NOT KNOWN HOW IT WAS ORIGINALLY ACQUIRED. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO EMAIL ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE, THANKS FOR LOOKING!
