Edward Norton Ward 1928 - 2022: The Monterey Peninsula of California and the city of Carmel have inspired painters for many generations. Edward Norton Ward, who was a native Californian, carried on the Peninsula tradition in a remarkable way. His painting methods reflect those of painters who have gone before him. Ward was an American Impressionist painter who worked in oils, acrylics, and watercolor. He graduated from UCLA with a degree in mathematics and later served in the military. He was a charter member of the Society of American Impressionists, elected to the Carmel Art Association in 1963, and served three terms as President.
