Description: Welcome to ANTIQUES & MOORE! This listing is for a lovely Sterling Silver handled letter opener made from an earlier period silver handle in the KINGS pattern. The silver is marked with English hallmarks for Sheffield, Sterling and has maker's stamp I believe is for Harrison Bros. & Howson. If this is correct, this mark was registered in 1773. The date letter is unfortunately illegible. The blade is marked "Stainless, Sheffield, England". This is a very attractive letter opener that would be a nice accessory for any antique desk.Measures 9" long. Weighs 35 grams. This nice letter opener is in very good to excellent Estate condition reflecting only minor signs of normal wear to the silver handle. We at Antiques & Moore have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible. Although all sales are considered final, if there is an error in our description or a problem with our item, we will issue a full refund of the purchase price if contacted within 3 days after receipt of the item, however, please note that we cannot refund shipping charges.
