Description: Striking pair of porcelain candlesticks, from the French manufacture of Edme Samson, second half of the 19th century. Both to carry two candles, with human figures representing peasants. Measurement: About 9.75" high x 7.75" wide x 3" deep. IN FAIR CONDITION: some chips to flowers, and one of the low flowering branches of the female figure has been glued on, although this, due to its position, is almost invisible.
