This patch is lovely with intricate silver colored thread on a white background. A previous version had a blue background. The Silver Award itself is a pin, which goes on the front of the uniform vest or sash. This patch, however, is a wonderful recognition patch, that can be worn on the back of the uniform vest or sash. Alternatively, some people will frame the patch, along with a photo of the Girl Scout. Others have turned it into an ornament, by adding a ribbon.
