Description: I purchased 11 quilts from a collector's estate. (I believe they could all 1800s.) One of the collections was dated 1840, and another signed one has the maker born in 1853. They all appear to be similar to those. This hand-pieced and hand-quilted quilt has a large gorgeous center star of yellow and orange. The backing is yellow, and it is in excellent condition. The only issue is a few light spots; see the last two photos. It would make a perfect housewarming gift, collector's gift, etc. The size is 93 x 94", and it is in overall excellent condition. The age of this quilt needs to be determined.Freshly laundered, weight 5 lbs
