Description: These horn coral fossils are from the Devonian Period, 365 - 415 million year ago when most of Iowa was an ocean. They are fossilized (mineralized) animals from of the phylum Cnidaria and are similar to a jelly fish. The pieces were collected in Iowa and have only been minimally cleaned with water only. I am selling these in lots of 12 individual pieces and will do my best to mix each lot with variable sizes and shapes.
