Description: Here is a vintage wooden trunk or chest that isn't very big, standing just over 12 inches tall, 12 inches wide and maybe 15 inches long counting the handles. It might be an old ice chest from a small wooden boat but doesn't have a metal insert now. Looks like new screws were placed on the hinges attached to the lid. One of the corners was built rounded as if that corner would be near a walkway. It has parallel metal bands for a design that I'm guessing matched a decor for the rest of what it was around. The top is old plywood and has some edge chips on one edge. Very dark, rich patina othewise. Some of these oversized packages are coming up really expensive to ship but when I buy a shipping label online there might be a discount so let me know your zip code if you are concerned. The other day I sent a 55 pound package across country that ebay charged $155 and it turned out to be $90 for actual postage because they charge you based on what it costs to buy a label at the post office rather than online. The item winner is to pay for the shipping charge ebay sets there, if you get more than one thing try to use the 'add to cart' button instead of the 'buy it now' one as sometimes that way the computers can figure out the postage savings automatically....still though sometimes we just have to do it later. Anyhow, I'm just an easy going farmer so if you aren't happy with the item, no big deal, just let me know.
