Description: Reproduction parts and accessories for the Lee Enfield No4T Sniper Rifle and its derivatives / successors. Ideal to create or repair a replica / re-enactor version of the famous Lee Enfield No4 Mk1 T rifle and its CES. These are parts that I have gathered from various sources and reviewed for quality and use for my re-enacting group to present at events. With this knowledge and information I've tried to attain extra parts for those "just in case" uses and also present them here with the additional information gleaned through their use and application. Indonesian brackets and mounting pads are now everywhere it seems! They are approximate for form (compared to original real kit) and are lacking for fit (work required) but sustain the intended function to a reasonable level so far. I have been using them as a "second set" to mount modern alternative scopes to target shoot with the rifle while preserving the originals. Re-enactor / reworked brackets are modified to take on the softer lines of the WW2 originals and have grinding and finishing marks before stamping serial numbers on the scope caps and a more authentic semi-gloss paint. The screw kit I offer has one extra of each of the correctly sized and shaped pad screws as well as a 24 gauge shim for the rear pad that was developed to help close the gap on some rifle installations (will need linishing and shaping to final fit and finish).. The UK sourced bracket is made to original drawings, processes and standards by an expert on British Sniper equipment, then they are hand finished and completed with Suncorite - per the post war build standards - including having the caps serial numbered to the positions. These are as good as, and an acceptable replacement for an original bracket. Now out of production - while stocks last! New thumbscrews and washers are made to MoD drawing and per original examples - will fit all bracket types, ideal to replace or become a spare - helical washers available separately also. New 4BA taper locking screws for the scope bracket caps - these fit the original brackets and the British made examples - ideal to replace or become a spare. These will not fit the far east made brackets as they substitute a metric thread. The Fazakerley marked No4T converted Mk1 Milled / Micrometer sight was built from good used parts for a replica No4T - fully functional and painted black. Has the battle sight ground off to allow a scope to mounted lower - good for a real or replica No4T and any sporting / hunting scope low mount project. The Sniper Cheek Piece screws are authentic specification size and form in plain steel - good for the real thing or a reproduction - the shorter one is the forward position to miss the butt retention bolt. Also available in a hand blued finish - as observed on Hollands originals. The sniper cheek pieces are good reproductions in Beech - include the correct screws, they get a light coat of stain / wax before I send them and they can take more stain / finishing well. Re-enactor refinished scopes have new body paint to represent Suncorite (black) and can have "B" and "W" letter marks added (B originally indicated Bloomed lenses and W for passing a Waterproofing test). The new reproduction No32mk3 scope is inspected and conforming for finish and function and returned to the original packaging - includes shipping to 48 states, these are in country and low risk for damage and loss - I have already worked out any anomalies - build this into a custom build kit for you project and take advantage of the multiple item discounts. Re-enactor prepped scopes and brackets - the re-enactor prepped bracket has serialized scope caps and has the new prepped scope fixed properly in its cradles, the scope is adjusted to put the reticule perfectly in the middle (zero) of the scope tube - ready for collimation on your rifle. Re-enactor scope carry tins are repainted in a more appropriate "equipment" green and have the spurious Pacific manufacturing marks removed, I used the original clothes printing blocks to add the word "RIFLE" on the outside as Hollands did. Internal labels can be added for rifle and scope numbers using traditional gum (fill them in yourself with a fountain pen - or message me details before printing) along with the adjusting instruction updates for the Mk2* and Mk3 scopes (mk1 and mk2 scopes did not have these - as the 1943 sniping manual covered their adjustment). The round cornered tins are early production (mid war @1941-42) and returned to production post war (1946) then the square cornered version was introduced @1942-1945 for ease of manufacture (these come from the UK). The longer webbing slings (53") are of the type issued to LMGs and prized by WW2 snipers as it is consistently more "grippy" than the issued 1907 Leather slings in the constantly damp conditions of the European Theater, comes with one clip / hook swivel. I use the base sling for target shooting. In the famous Enfield No4T / H&H book there is a description and photograph of a prototype web sling made by Mills Co using existing parts and designs for target shooting slings - these were used in the ETO per the feedback from the snipers deployed there, however after the war they did not make the ongoing CES of standard parts and equipment. These reproductions were made by a Hollywood prop maker / Enfield Collector, the "new" ones are bright and shiny - as from the factory, the "aged" ones have had some Hollywood magic applied to make them darker, stained and a little worn. I use these for target shooting too! Triangular Sling Swivels come complete with and replace the Front Hand Guard Screw for No4 Rifle actions and their derivatives. Use your existing spring washer and spacer. Two predominant kinds: "High Tower" (rotates freely 360+ degrees) made and marked by Parker Hale in a blued finish for aftermarket / target shooting."Low Tower" MOD (rotation is stopped by the trigger guard loop) marked "E" and in a blued finish. The works of Skennerton:Small Arms Identification Series are @50 pages (11" x 8.25") with laminated covers and stitched spines. In depth history, larger parts diagrams, key makes, marques and versions depicted. The Lee Enfield - one hardback color tomb of the century of Lee Enfield development in all nations - 608 pages (12" x 8.5"), versions and marques - ideal for library or coffee table. The Broad Arrow mk2 - a second more in-depth 162 page catalogue (12" x 8.5" softback) of all marks, markings, stamps and symbols observed on most Commonwealth Equipment (with a focus on Rifles) - ideal gun bench, gun show bag reference. Please feel free to ask any questions and check out my other Lee Enfield items.
