Leopard Skin is thought to be a derivative or perhaps was once a form of rhyolite. It has a Mohs hardness of between 5 and 7 due to the minerals that compose Leopard Skin. It will take a satin finish in polishing, often with a soft glow and luster. First 7 photos are wet. Last photo is dry. I have a large quantity of Leopard Skin available. If you would like a price on a larger amount, please contact me directly. I also have 2lb and 5 lb lots listed separately. This is a great lot for those who are into lapidary and jewelry making, or those who just want to tumble them. Just a couple of these beauties is worth more than the buy-it-now price. Look at other sellers who have listings for 8ozs for $15.99 to $22+. This lot is for 1lb for a much lower price! Great resale potential. Sell as pocket rocks when tumbled, make into necklaces, or any other way you want. Keep and display them, and enjoy the individual beauty. ALL PHOTOS with the exception of photo are taken wet, and represent what they will look like when polished and tumbled. Last photo is taken dry. Please note that these will arrive slightly dusty and in their natural state.....you will have to rinse them to see colors, patterns and the various formations. NOTE: The photos are representative of the Leopard Skin you will receive. They are randomly scooped from large containers. ZOOM in on great details!
