This is a rare July 1968 "Performing Arts" program from the Post-Broadway engagement of the TOM JONES and HARVEY SCHMIDT musical "I DO! I DO!" at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco, California. (The production opened December 5th, 1966 and ran for 560 performances before going on the road.) ..... The musical starred Broadway veterans MARY MARTIN and ROBERT PRESTON (whose performance was awarded the 1967 Tony Award for "Best Actor in a Musical") ..... CREDITS: Music by HARVEY SCHMIDT; Book and Lyrics by TOM JONES based on "The Fourposter" by JAN de HARTOG (Schmidt and Jones are the songwriting team responsible for "The Fantasticks", "Celebration", "I Do!
