Description: AS SEEN IN MUSEUM AROUND THE WORLD MEGALODON SHARK TOOTH FOSSIL DISPLAY STAND. Hand made of SOLID OAK and varnished to a glossy shine. Each stand has a metal back bar to hold the tooth up at an angle to show it off at it's best. Each stand is 3 1/2" deep and 4" wide and comes with a GOLD ENGRAVED name plate with ENGRAVED LETTERS MEGALODON. This stand also comes with a data card and has felt corners on the bottom. This 3 1/2" x 4" stand is best for teeth 4" or smaller. Thanks for looking. I had bought stands from 123thegemshop for my Megalodon teeth before, and was so thoroughly pleased with the seller’s work that I couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. However, I had a conundrum. I wanted the scientific names of the sharks written on the name plaques instead of just Great White or Mako or the generic name of the extinct shark. So, I wrote an email to the proprietor of 123thegemshop and asked him if he would do some custom stands for me. To my pleasant surprise, he would: and did. He was so concerned with the attention to detail that he asked me how I wanted the words to be arranged on the plaque, whether or not I wanted them in all capitals or only the first letter of the first word capitalized; like how they do specimens in museums! His turnaround time for this special order was a blindingly fast three days! I now have ten beautiful stands with the full scientific names of each of my specimens on them. They look so beautiful on the solid oak stands!
