Description: Metlox California art pottery half shell low flower bowl. This clam or oyster shell shaped console dish measures 12-1/4 inches in length and 8-1/2 inches wide. Satin glaze two tone with an ivory exterior and a sky blue interior. Produced from 1939-1942, the bottom has an ink stamp reading Metlox Made in U.S.A. In outstanding condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The interior exhibits slight crazing. Some yellow marks noted around the sagger pin marks on the underside.
