I would recommend them for guitar speaker replacements, or bass PA speakers. These woofers will go down to 38hz, so they will handle a respectable amount of bass response. These woofers are extremely efficient at 97db, so you do not need a huge amplifier to get great sound out of them. I used on of these speakers for a replacement in a Electro voice SXA100+ and it was a direct replacement, and I was very happy with its performance. These woofers measure 11-3/4's diagonally from hole to hole, which is standard for most 12" woofers.
