Description: Original equipment (OE) aluminum cylinder head for Volkswagen Pumpe Düse 1.9L BRM TDI and 2.0L BHW TDI engines. Item was salvaged from a 2006 Jetta sedan with unknown mileage. Vehicles equipped with BRM TDI will have the letter 'T' in the fifth digit of the VIN. Vehicles equipped with BHW TDI will have the letter 'E' in the fifth digit of the VIN. Camshaft, camshaft bearings and lifters have been removed, as they showed signs of wear. This is common for the the Volkswagen Pumpe Düse TDI. This cylinder head would be a perfect candidate for an upgraded camshaft. The cylinder head itself is in serviceable condition. All valves actuate as they should and seat as they should. Timing belt was intact when salvaged. Coolant passages are unobstructed and free of corrosion (see photo). As this is a used cylinder head, it cannot be guaranteed that the surface won't need machined. Item can certainly be installed as is. With that, the mating surface will need to be cleaned, as there is remnants of the previous head gasket. Shouldn't take more than a plastic scraper to clean up the surface. Intake passages show light-to-moderate carbon build up (see photo). Exhaust passages show trace carbon build up (see photo). BRM and BHW TDI are found in the following applications: 2005.5 and 2006 Jetta2004 and 2005 Passat2004 and 2005 Passat Wagon OEM Part Number: 038 103 373 R; 038103373R; 038-103-373-R.
