Description: "Old Glory at the Crossroads 1861-1865" was a color comic strip that was published in newspapers, nation-wide, once a week during the Civil War centennial years of 1961-1965. Drawn by famed "Dick Tracy" artist Rick Fletcher and authored by Chicago Tribune journalist Athena Robbins, the 230 strips tell the story of the Civil War; highlighting both its main, as well as, smaller singular events in exacting detail. These full color strips have never been available in one book and many individual strips have not been seen since they were first published. Note: The strips in the book have been taken from sixty-plus year old newspapers and reflect the color quality of news-print from this time. See examples of the strips in the accompanying photos.
