Description: 1965 ORIGINAL Large Newspaper Sports Art -John Pierotti, Yonkers raceway, harness racing Not sure what date this drawing is from. Great piece of History for any horse racing or New York fan. Originally the Yonkers raceway was founded in 1899 as the Empire City Race track. The drawing has stains and bent corners as it was probably stored in a stack with other drawings. There is also a small crease in the bottom left corner. Even with all its imperfections it would still look good behind glass and framed. It is a large drawing measuring 15 by 18 inches. Also yellowed with age. John Pierotti was a cartoonist that worked for the New York post and received multiple awards for his artwork.
