Many of Cadmus's most known works are the various figure drawings done of Anderson throughout the years. This study was drawn by Cadmus c.1970 preparatory to his large David and Goliath painting. It depicts the artist himself as Goliath and Cadmus's young lover, Jon Anderson, as David.
