Description: Paul Klee (1880-1940-Swiss) “Clown” - Original Unframed Print (Plate #10) From the 1955 Abrams Art Portfolio. (Published by Art Treasures Of The World, N. Y.). One of his more popular works. The ‘tipped-on’ image measures 9 1/2”x 7”; outermost back mat dimensions measure 14 3/4”x 11”. The original was painted in 1929 as an oil with chalk on panel and measured 26 3/4”x 19 5/8”. Klee’s signature bottom left corner (photo #6). Photo #11 shows the blog of ‘Clown’ (reverse side of previous print). Photo #12 is the reverse side of ‘Clown’ with blog of the next plate in the folio. Would look great matted/framed. ‘Clown’ definitely smacks of Picasso, whom he highly revered and met personally. Will include a ‘copy’ of the blog (photo #11) for your reference.
