The chenille texture is wavy parallel lines over all of the fabric, alternating in spacing, some lines closer together than others. It is 100% cotton. (This is NOT upholstery fabric.) MEASUREMENTS: 37 inches long and 61 inches wide. This is s 37-inch cut off of very wide fabric. The color is a pretty light pink. This fabric was purchased new on a bolt some time ago from a fabric store. It has never been laundered with detergent or without detergent. It is NOT from a vintage bedspread and has never been used for any purpose. As new chenille fabric does shrink a lot and sheds quite a bit initially, you may wish to launder this fabric prior to using. Laundering will soften up the texture and fluff it up quite a bit. This fabric is popular for use in making baby bibs, baby quilts, and other soft items. This fabric has been stored in a vacuum-sealed plastic bag since its purchase. Any scrunched-up appearance of the fabric in the photos should straighten itself out when your new fabric is laundered, and it will look smooth and fluffy.
