Description: Purple Sage (50+ Seeds): Salvia Officinalis. Culinary Herb 2023 Crop. USA Grown This aromatic herb belongs to the mint family and is native to a Mediterranean climate. It grows best in full sun and is drought tolerant. Young shoots turn to woody branches in a plant that normally only grows to about 2 feet tall. Their size also makes Sage per Young leaves are used in cooking in many cuisines. Leaves are oval, wrinkled, and covered in tiny, almost invisible, hairs. I personally grow it for its bright purple flowers which normally blossom in the spring. They attract a great deal of bees as well as butterflies and hummingbirds. All seeds come from open pollinated plants grown in my garden in Southern California. Please keep in mind that I grow these plants for their ornamental appeal. You, as the buyer, assume responsibility for the way in which you use these seeds. Thank you for your consideration.
