Description: This is an Estate Fresh old Pen & Ink from the Family of the Listed Artist Frank Tolles Chamberlin. This piece is the RARE PORTRAIT PEN & INK SKETCH by FRANK TOLLES CHAMBERLIN, dated 1909, of KATIE BRECK. There was an Exibition card on the reverse of this when I bought it, but as mentioned above, it was really bad so I saved the card best I could, and attached it here. It explains that this is Katie Breck. The price was NFS by his own hand so she must have meant something to him in some way. There is actually an Oil Painting on ebay right not of this same girl only a little older than she is here, but its obvious. This Pen & Ink is so well done, the details of this little girl are just exceptional. The piece was done on very thin paper which is why its a bit wrinkled on the rt side. It still looks great and an identified piece is always a better piece to own! Framed in the original frame the piece is 20.75"x16.75" wide and the actual work is approx 10"x8" wide. The piece is signed on the actual work and dated 1909 and its pencil signed lower rt with the artists signature. Just a wonderful piece!
