Description: Up for your consideration is a rare Theo Koch folding barber chair from the turn of the century. The chair closes and opens like a modern-day folding lawn chair. It was originally sold in two presentations from the late 1890’s until the 1920’s. They came covered in plush (tapestry or velour) with gold trim for hotel room service. Theo Koch made thousands of classic traditional heavy permanently mounted chairs, but few of the light folding portable type for field use. This is the actual chair featured on the front cover (see photo). The buyer to pay actual shipping cost (insurance is included in the shipping quote).
