Description: Offering a rare vintage artist’s architectural drawing sketch of furniture. Circa 1920’s. This lovely drawing was executed free hand using pencil on onion skin. The work is of a French vertical mirror with nicely carved top. It features feather plumes and acanthus leaf decoration. Very detailed work by a talented artist. Suitable for framing. Note: What was learned from the artist's estate was that their grandfather worked for B. Altman's, a luxury department store in New York City as a sketch artist. Wealthy clients would consult with him and he would sketch and design furniture and decorative accessories to their taste. The company would in turn manufacture those pieces for those clients. I have other sketches if interested. Measuring: 11 5/8” Tall, 8 3/8” Wide. The condition is mint. No damage or wear. Please see my other listings as I am selling my large collections of quality antiques.
