Description: This is a kit to rebuild one Bosch washer shock absorber (damper) with part number 00648176, also 648176.The shock absorber is made by SUSPA with part number 062-30027. If your shock absorber is not SUSPA part number 062-30027 please do not buy this kit and expect it to work. Other shock absorbers require packing of different thickness, width and length. Bosch washers usually have three of these shock absorbers, two at the front sides and one at the rear center of the drum. These shock absorbers are no longer available, and the only option is to rebuild them. The only tools needed are two flat head screwdrivers. The shock absorbers work by friction, and fail when the friction packing deteriorates.The usual symptom is that due to the lack of damping, the washer can't balance the load after multiple attempts, so it will not spin.It then gives an error code related to spinning or draining, but the real problem is the shock absorbers have failed. The kit contains everything you need to rebuild one shock absorber.It consists of a new friction packing insert and a small package of Ultron Z-12 synthetic grease.Instructions on how to open up the shock absorber and rebuild it are also included.Time required to do the rebuild is about 20 minutes for one shock absorber.
